We are all responsible
The policy for working conditions within Niron Staal is based upon the Health and Safety Act, the Health and Safety Decision, policy rules, the Health and Safety Handbook of the Association of Dutch Shipbuilders, the '5x Better' Project and all other current relevant standards and values. The primary basis is that every individual is responsible for his own safety and that of his direct colleagues.
The goal of this policy is to eventually reduce the company’s registered accident count to zero. In order to achieve this we are working to raise the safety-consciousness of our employees by means of measuring and improving the factors of observation, checking, contact and instruction. The Health and Safety Policy carefully describes the necessary organisational structure and the measures that need to be taken. It will remain in force for the coming 5 years.
