Introducing: Gregor Kraczek, CNC-operator
Employees’ opinions and ideas are valued at Niron Staal, says CNC-operator Gregor Kraczek. Among others this makes him happy in his work.
”You sometimes hear people saying, ‘I still have to work for so many years,’ and then I realise how lucky I have been with Niron. Every day I go to work whistling. I never think ‘When can I stop?’ I’m just pleased to be able to do this work.”
Gregor Kraczeks (37) was born in Poland, in the mining region around Katowice. Nowadays, he lives in Krommenie where he has a nice and quiet existence. Gregor is a CNC-operator in Niron Staal’s machining plant, a profession he learnt in Poland. “I received a standard technical education in Poland; lathe, milling, broaching. I worked there as a broacher and CNC-operator, using just about every machine there is.”
Early in 2007, Gregor moved to the Netherlands. “I didn’t earn enough in Poland to support my wife and two children. I am glad to be here, working at Niron, it is such a different environment. Employees’ opinions and ideas are valued here, and that makes me a happy man.”
