The 200kW Texel platform is a scaled-down demonstration version of BlueTec, which is designed to be installed anywhere in the world and provide power in remote areas and small islands, replacing diesel gensets. BlueTec is a collaboration between Bluewater, Damen/ Niron Staal, Van Oord/Acta Marine, Tocardo, TKF, Vryhof, NIOZ, Nylacast, Schottel Hydro and Tidal Test Centre.
